One of my peeves with ‘The Rise of Skywalker’ is the sidelining of Rose’s character. It seems ridiculous to create a character and set her off on an arc only to make her peripheral in the final movie of the trilogy. Anyway, this is the first time I have ever drawn Rose. I decided to draw her as we first meet her in the movie, wearing a boiler suit and being assertive when encountering a potential deserter. I had fun drawing the crossed arm pose and all the wrinkles in the fabric of her boiler suit.

I was annoyed by that, too. I liked the last trilogy better than I/II/II, but III/IV/V will always be my favorite.

It was a bit weird wasnt it? What I found very odd was that kiss at the end of the second film… it was totally void of any passion whatsoever…
