Although he is a minor character, Gial Ackbar is one of my favourites and I have, therefore, drawn him several times over the years. I no longer recall how it started, but my kids have a long-running joke that Admiral Ackbar is my boyfriend and honestly I cannot remember whether that was because he was already one of my favourites or if he became a favourite because of their joke. As a very capable military leader, Ackbar appears in many of the Star Wars movies but I chose to draw him in his original trilogy garb. Mon Calamari are fun to draw.
